About the Role
We are looking for a Legal Research Associate – AI Review to review AI-generated legal responses for accuracy, relevance, clarity, and legal correctness.
The role involves validating legal propositions, case citations, statutory references, and interpretations against reliable legal sources. Candidates with litigation experience or exposure to court proceedings, legal research, and legal drafting will be preferred.
We are looking for individuals who are passionate about technology and interested in the intersection of Law and Artificial Intelligence. Candidates who have previously worked with or interned at a Legal Tech startup/company will be preferred.
This is primarily a legal research and review role; prior technical or AI experience will be an added advantage.
Key Responsibilities
- Review AI-generated legal responses for accuracy, relevance, clarity, and completeness.
- Verify legal propositions, case citations, judgments, and statutory references using reliable legal sources.
- Assess whether responses appropriately address the legal question and apply the correct jurisdiction and legal framework.
- Identify fabricated or incorrect citations, factual inaccuracies, outdated laws, and unsupported legal conclusions.
- Review judgments for accurate interpretation of their holdings, reasoning, and precedential value.
- Identify missing qualifications, conflicting authorities, and areas requiring senior legal review.
- Suggest appropriate corrections and improvements to AI-generated legal responses.
- Document recurring errors and patterns to support the continuous improvement of AI-generated legal content.
- Conduct legal research using legal databases and official sources as required.
Eligibility & Skills
- LL.B. / LL.B. (Hons.) from a recognized university.
- 6 months – 2 years of experience in legal research, litigation, legal content, or a related legal role.
- Candidates with litigation experience or exposure to court proceedings will be preferred.
- Passion for technology and strong interest in Legal Tech and Artificial Intelligence.
- Candidates who have worked with or interned at a Legal Tech startup/company will be preferred.
- Strong legal research, analytical, and legal writing skills.
- Good understanding of case law, statutory provisions, and legal principles.
- Familiarity with legal research databases and official legal sources.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify inaccuracies, inconsistencies, and unsupported conclusions.
- Ability to distinguish between verified legal findings and areas of uncertainty.
- No prior technical/AI experience is required.
